The Law: What you need to know

From Monday 1st October 2007, it became illegal to sell tobacco products to anyone under the age of 18. This was a change from the previous age of 16, so if you’re under 18, it’ll affect you.

The products included are cigarettes, cigars, tobacco for roll your own and pipes as well as rolling papers. This law change applies to all tobacco products sold to you both over the counter and through vending machines.
